Ashes of Vados encourages you, Sorun, to pay Ash a visit to defeat her. Doing so will not only move the main story forward but also will lead you to another boss encounter against the mysterious Eldritch Hand. Additionally, there’s also a Boss Rush Mode that lets you revisit past encounters. What’s cool about this feature is you can choose whether to fight them again in Normal difficulty or to up the ante via the Heroic version.

On top of this, there’s also a new Combat Arena. This will definitely test your durability and endurance as waves of enemies will be coming at you. In the trailer, you can even see that in one scenario you have to survive 15 waves. Talk about putting your mettle to the test!

Modifying Various Game Modes and Rewards

Ashes of Vados features additional game modes that you can alter to change your experience with the game. For instance, Randomized Items causes all item pickups to be random. You can also choose to make all bosses more difficult via the Heroic Forced Mode. The Madness Mode makes it so that all the items you’re wearing, except for weapons, will be destroyed the moment you succumb to death. And lastly, you have the Fink Mode, allowing Fink to suddenly appear at random moments of the game to put up another fight.

These various game modes are a welcome addition to the already impressive amount of content that the DLC has to offer. To make matters more exciting, you’ll be receiving new rewards when you complete each and every one of them. This encourages replayability for Death’s Gambit: Afterlife.
