Death End Re;Quest Chapter 9 Guide

In this Death End Re;Quest Chapter 9 Guide, I’ll be going over the path to clear the ninth chapter of the game and it’s boss. Death End Re;Quest is a unique RPG game that merges the typical JRPG and allows players to convert it into a fighting game, shooter, or even a slot game. There are other subtle quirks that the game possesses that will be simple to execute but difficult to master.

Death End Re;Quest Chapter 9 Guide

For Chapter 9 of Death End Re;Quest, players will be heading towards the Kirkniya Wilderness and then onto the Landor Volcano Cave area to fight 2 bosses, Infernal Wyrm and Sariga!

Kirkniya Wilderness

From the Sanatheus Temple campsite, head right and exit the temple to reach the Kirkniya Wilderness. Proceed to the left to obtain the Code Salve 2.0 then to the right to grab the Divine Elixir. There will be a Beast Clan Insert further down the road on the left and a Enolef’s Ether on the right. Watch the cutscene that ensues after the ! marker, proceed to snag the Code Salve 2.0 on the left.

Landor Volcano Cave (The Rippling Plains)

From the entrance head straight until you find the area’s campsite to the left. In front of the campsite will be a chest surrounded by lava. Use Al’s Armo On to traverse over the lava and pick up the Crimson Ash. Next move towards the left side of the map, using Al’s ability once again to cross a lava river to find 1 Sacred Evil (600 HP, 280 ATK) and 1 Mandarin Flint (150 SP, 180 ATK, 100 DEF). Pick up the Code Salve 2.0 in the bottom of the map.

Walk towards the large lone island south of the area to use Celica’s Air Ride ability to glide over the lava and acquire the Messie Lune (365 ATK). Glide back to the center and travel north to find 1 Enolef’s Ether in 2 chests.

Proceed along the right side of the area to find a Scarlet Dragonscale in a chest and then head to the ! marker to watch a cutscene. Continue on this path until you reach the next area.

Landor Volcano Cave (Forsaken Badlands)

Obtain the Blaze Stone tucked in the left corner where you have entered. There will be 2 Divine Elixirs in the chest further in this area on the right. Use Al’s Armo On ability to cross the lava to obtain the 20,000 Eni in the chest. Cross the long bridge jumping over the small cracks as they impede your progress. There will be another campsite to the left after the bridge if you need to rest and/or save. Head towards the ! marker to watch a short cutscene and pick up the item in the chest before leaving. Right before the next ! key item marker on the map there will be a save point to the right. Interact with the item to watch a cutscene then prepare for battle.

Boss: Infernal Wyrm

Players will fight the Infernal Wyrm once more. The team composition I used was Shina, Lucil, and Clea. The first choice that must be made is if you will bug out Infernal Wyrm. If so, spend the first round of turns buffing the party members and knocking the Wyrm into the bug tiles. Once the Wyrm glitches out his health will increase to 664,000.

Infernal Wyrm 331,000 HP, 40 SP ☀ Sun Type 95% Corruption

Time to go on the offensive by having Shina use Lunamis Diapathy as much as her SP allows. This is one of Shina’s most powerful attacks and due to the ☾ Moon Type of the skill it will deal increase damage to the boss. Attempt to bounce the boss off the walls to deal massive amounts of damage. Walls will inflict 33,200 damage, while you’ll be lucky to even deal a few thousand from the girls knockblows. Lucil should be rotating between triple Phoenix Rays to deal damage, and Phoenix Tune to regain SP to continue using triple Phoenix Rays.

Lastly have Clea use her most powerful attacks like Moon Laser and Azure Bullet. Remember to build her towards either attack or magic attack and use the proper skill to maximize damage. Position Clea near your teammates to have her buggy recovery their SP also. If you want to know more about each characters strengths and weakness check out our Death End Re;Quest All Girls Guide. Defeating Infernal Wyrm grants players 31,200 Exp, and 18,720* Eni. (Clea was used in battle so Eni reward is higher than normal).

Infernal Wyrm’s attacks

  • Achedial ☀ Sun Type
  • Pollution ☀ Sun Type
  • Bite

After the battle, heal yourself if needed and save as you will encounter an Entoma Queen at the end of the stage. From where the Wyrm fight was located, head  further South and take the small descending path to the lower level of the Volcano. There will be few enemies and no loot to obtain so simply head to the final ! marker. A short cutscene will ensue then the final fight of this chapter will be upon you!

Boss: Sariga

There are lots of paralysis bug tiles in this fight so be careful while positioning your party members to avoid touching them. Attacking Sariga with ☾ Moon type characters and skills will cause her to auto counter your attack. Players should be using ☀ Sun type characters and skills to inflict a great of heavy damage to the boss. While Shina is weak to Sariga’s attacks, Sariga will focus on Al most of the time.

Sariga 590,000 255 SP ★ Stars Type 100% Corruption Rate

My team composition was Shina, Lucil, and Al. If you have trained Shina well, she should have access to the ☀ Sun type skills Ache and Achewave. Shina should be using Trally Bloom to increase her magic attacks and double Achewave. On her other turns choose mostly Achewave, unless she is needed to revive Lucil. If Al dies, use Lucil to revive her as Lucil’s high SP pools will never run dry.

For Lucil she should use mostly triple Phoenix Ray to deal damage and Phoenix Tune to recover SP. If any party members gets hit with the various status effects from Sariga, use Valley Fresh to negate them. If fellow party members have died, use Revive to get them back in the fight.

Lastly, Al should be using Sol Lance as Al’s speciality are physical attacks. Al is the only member to be able to do a knockback if you’re following this guide, so have her remove some bug tiles so that Arata can summon Ephemera, this will recover and strengthen the team’s SP. Alternatively, players can use Shina’s turn as a support, using items to help with the fight but I refrained from this tactic in favor of using each girl’s strength. If you want to know more about each characters strengths and weakness check out our Death End Re;Quest All Girls Guide. Defeating Sariga grants players 96,520 Exp, 16,240 Eni, and 1 Ultra Ogre Brew.

Sariga’s Attacks

  • Sariga Code ★ Stars Type
  • Curse Support Type
  • Spin Attack ★ Stars Type

Following this guide you will have successfully defeated Infernal Wyrm and Sariga.
