Dauntless Open Beta Delayed to Early 2018!

As part of their Development Roadmap updates, developer Phoenix Labs recently made an announcement on their website that the Open Beta to their online action-RPG, Dauntless, will be delayed to 2018.

The Dauntless Open Beta was originally planned to launch this winter, giving players a more polished game with new content that was not part of the previous Beta.

Dauntless Open Beta – Still Out of Reach!

The games’s closed beta started on September 2 earlier this month. While those who had purchased the game in Early Access, joined the Founder’s Alpha that began last month.

Phoenix Labs wants to use this opportunity and use the feedback they’ll receive from both the Closed-Beta and Founder’s Alpha to build a better Open Beta experience for players.

The feedback that we have received has been awesome in both quality and volume — and its magnitude has presented us with an opportunity.

The Dauntless Open Beta will be released as a free-to-play downloadable title sometime in 2018 for the PC platform.

Earlier this summer at E3 2017, we had the opportunity to try out Dauntless and sit down with the development team. You can read all about that here.
