Winter Level looks sweet, im just hoping theirs a Ravelord Covenant…

    WHOA
according to Reddit ITS THREE DLCS

  2. Avatar Hart says:

    I know this feel bro.

  3. Avatar JudasBlitzkrieg says:

Yeah, it’s just been confirmed on the DkS2 FB account. 3 DLCs, a season pass is available.

I’m actually a little annoyed at this seeing as FromSoft came out during development and said that Dark Souls II was the complete experience and wouldn’t be getting DLC.

EDIT- I’m on Namco Bandai’s press list and they’ve just sent a press release out too

  4. Avatar JohnnyHarpoon says:

I don’t buy it. Not enough snow.

  5. Avatar King says:

I share your annoyance. Season passes? Really? I’m disappointed in From, but maybe I should’ve seen this coming… I figured there would be DLC, but they’re already showing it off only a few months after launch.

  6. Avatar MasteroftheThrone says:

PRAISE THAT SUN. Also it was probably Namco Bandai that pushed From to have DLC and the season pass stuff, producers have that kind of power.

  7. Avatar TheKleen says:

I’ll be stoked when they announce it comes with SL based matchmaking

  8. Avatar Odinbear says:

    What is a season pass?

  9. Avatar King says:

It gives you all the DLC for about $5 dollars cheaper than if you bought them separately. Games like COD, Borderlands 2, Battlefield, and pretty much every Capcom game have season passes.

  10. Avatar ToLazy4Name says:

    A snow level?

    Take my money.

  11. Avatar JohnnyHarpoon says:

    Definitely.

DkS2 was pretty much solely made to make money. When next gen consoles came out, you can tell From went, "Throw Miyazaki and the pros on the next gen game, let some scrubs finish this outdated one because it will still make a bunch of money."

And don’t get me wrong – I’d rather be playing DkS2 than any other game out right now. But, profit was pretty blatantly priority one on DkS2.

  12. Avatar Skjoldr says:

To me what they showed in the video looks more Dark Souls like than DS2. I’m glad they are making Dlc, I think this game needs it.

  13. Avatar Mohammad1433Ksa says:

i just saw this .. i was going to post a thread about it lol

i am burning and can’t wait for it :bounce:

  14. Avatar HolyLuigi says:

Nope no thank you. It’s hard as more Souls is good news but after what they pulled off with the release of this game and the fact it’s still broken as is, that is a no-no for me. The content I paid for was not enjoyable enough to make me viciously throw more money on them.

I’d rather wait for wealthy guinea-pigs on forums/reddit to report how good/bad it really is. As of lately, I’ve been fed up with those trailers and such. From should really knew better and take that Bamco plug out of their asses. There always are other options.

  15. Avatar King says:

I was expecting DLC and I wanted DLC, but this screams MONEY GRAB! The game came out less than three months ago and they’re already announcing three DLCs? This is about one notch better than on-disk DLC.

How much will the season pass be? Most season passes are $40 to $50 bucks.

  16. Avatar phastings says:

    I’ll take it! Looks awesome.

I think I am mainly pleased that project beast remains it’s own separate n mysterious entity. I was worried it was a hoax using dks2 dlc footage and masquerading it as a new IP.

So three separate expansions spread out over a few months.. I like it. Cool level themes

  17. Terrorcore says:

I am going to pass on the DLC. It looks like it was purposely cut out of the game to be used as DLC, and even if that is not the case, the main game was not good enough for me to continue investing money into.

Also, inb4 they break just as much as they fix, just like AotA DLC.

  18. Avatar WhatDoesThePendantDo says:

I agree on all counts. Dark Souls 2 was so disappointing for me, it still upsets. But I might not resist getting the DLC just because of all the new lore nuggets I’d be missing out on. And I hate that I like Dark Souls 1 so much that I’m willing to put forward more money towards a game let me down so (it’s still a good game, just not on the same level IMO) because the Souls world has captured me so.

  19. crbngville2 says:

I’m with you, Pendant. After DeS and DkS, DkS2 was just completely disappointing. Was hoping that I could move the game to the never to picked up again pile. But, I will purchase the dlc, not for the gameplay, but for the lore and completion factor only.

  20. Avatar Aigaion says:

    Welcome to From Software.
    Game developers and professional trolls.

Dark Souls II is a good game, not as good as the first but nothing to complain at, definitely worth what you paid for it.

  21. Avatar Back_Lot_Basher says:

I’ve got 200 hours of entertainment for my $60, so I’m more than happy to give them more to extend the experience. No game is perfect, but I figure if I enjoy this enough for 200 hours, then it’s a success in my book.

A few hours of mediocre Dark Souls is still better than 90% of the games out there.

  22. Avatar WhatDoesThePendantDo says:

A "we have no plans to release DLC as we plan to release a complete game" troll is not a like-for-like troll as saying, "you should pick the Pendant starting gift."

  23. Avatar Odinbear says:

Gotcha. So you buy all 3 for a meager discount. Does this mean, the 3 are being released over a period of months or all at once?

  24. Avatar King says:

Each DLC will probably drop every two or three months.

  25. Allmyfault says:

Honestly I’ll gladly put another 50$ down for some quality DaSII dlc. I enjoyed AoTA quite a lot and that extended my value of the game for quite awhile. As others are saying, I’d rather play a mediocre souls game than most other games.
