This new adventure has players chasing after the Slave Knight Gael to the literal end of the world as he searches for the Dark Soul of Humanity.

As players make their way to the fabled Ringed City they will encounter ancient beasts, a new cast of characters teetering on the edge of insanity, new armor, weapons, magic, and at the bottom of it all, a long lost city filled with new horrors for players to overcome.

Descriptions from Images Left to Right, Top to Bottom
- The last survivor of Demons who were born from the Flame of Chaos, dwelling below the land. With a grotesque look having been exposed to poison, their flame is fading away…
- When a city falls into an Abyss, Locusts will then arise. It is said that they will feast on anything and everything that is in their path.
- Vicious knight swinging a giant greatsword. Sunken in a swamp, his body is swollen with every cavity bloated. Instead of having a head, a clump of darkness dwells and with armor half decayed.
- Dreg Heap, the furthest end of the world. Various remains from different historical periods have accumulated over time, resulting in high towers.
- A traditional city for the Pygmies, called the Ringed City. Half covered in foliage, the city looks desolated with ancient ruins.
- A pyromancy which tears down the enemies with the great fan of flame. Pyromancers, who once lived in an ancient land with their greatest fan weapons and enchanting looks, seem to still exist.
- Unusually shaped paired greatshields resembling great doors. The firmly closed door will help to block a myriad of attacks from the enemies.
- This shield, formed by the head of a descendant of an Archdragon, harks of the ancient dragon slayers. Even the descendant of an Archdragon perishes not, the skill restores its former strength.
- A tower rises above the clouds, at its top stands a well-known sword.
- A traditional city for the Pygmies, called the Ringed City. A portion of the bridge is curved, creating a wall on the inner side. Countless tombstones line the top of the wall made of rock.
- A Gray Giant who has existed since the Archdragon was found. The Giant used to be a judicator, working under the Gods.
- A man with a plate-armor helm you can encounter at Dreg Heap. He states that he’s an amnesiac hollow and calls himself “Rap.” Maybe he could be a reliable fellow…

To be fair, their way of storytelling is pretty much not telling one. The ambiguity of much of the lore is for many, part of the allure.
There better be velka stuff! She’s too much of a damn mystery!
I would be a little disappointed if Velka was that solemn woman holding the white sphere. I imagine her as a more imposing figure.
Could be Gwynevere though.
For Christmas, all I got was cookies mailed from my mother of which I haven’t seen for 5 years (and I loved it).
We all empathize in these times. Thanks for understanding
>
Trust me dude, we all empathise with how you feel.
Mind you, I’m drastically poor right now and thought socks were the best thing ever to receive on Christmas, so there’s that. Would’ve killed for a sweater honestly.
I’m just bitter.
Sorry guys.
I knew what I wanted from this game in order for me to feel that any sequels were justified. And I’m just not getting it. So I feel like a child on Christmas unwrapping a chessy sweater rather than a GI Joe.
I still love From. I love Souls. But I can’t help how I felt about AoA and this next one doesn’t look to promise anything better (for me).

Well…I mean…there is like, at LEAST half a dozen DS2 callbacks in the limited information we have.
Now if Asus would just send the correct video card replacement in time…
>
Hey, if the Dark Souls 2 team went from making Smelter Demon to making Freide, I’m definitely looking forward to their next project.
>
It is obviously Dark Sign symbolism.
That doesn’t change anything.
It’s just going to be more random redundant bullshit.
It’s like they gave all dlc creation to the DS2 team.
Please add all images that may be missing to the wiki page for the dlc in order to have them all in one spot.
>
Considering that the Ring in question could very easily be Dark Sign symbolism and we very prominently see a Pilgrim in the trailer, I think you’re jumping the gun a little bit.
It’s not like they would just *show* the serpents in the trailer.

Eleum Loyce?
CAPTIONS FOR PICS E PUT UP ALREADY!
The pics E put up also were put on Facebook. I’ll describe and add the captions, if it’s not clear I can post the pics each caption goes with.
Knight crossing bridge with torch picture: A traditional city for the Pygmies, called the Ringed City. Half covered in foliage, the city looks desolated with ancient ruins.
Pyromancy fan swiping enemy picture: A pyromancy which tears down the enemies with the great fan of flame. Pyromancers, who once lived in an ancient land with their greatest fan weapons and enchanting looks, seem to still exist.
Large bug near crystal area picture: When a city falls into an Abyss, Locusts will then arise. It is said that they will feast on anything and everything that is in their path.
Great Shield with face picture: This shield, formed by the head of a descendant of an Archdragon, harks of the ancient dragon slayers. Even the descendant of an Archdragon perishes not, the skill restores its former strength.
Giant with sword picture: Vicious knight swinging a giant greatsword. Sunken in a swamp, his body is swollen with every cavity bloated. Instead of having a head, a clump of darkness dwells and with armor half decayed.
Bat Demon Picture: The last survivor of Demons who were born from the Flame of Chaos, dwelling below the land. With a grotesque look having been exposed to poison, their flame is fading away…
Collapsing city picture: Dreg Heap, the furthest end of the world. Various remains from different historical periods have accumulated over time, resulting in high towers. (not in caption but this coincides with what I’ve been speculating that the kiln is near a literal location where worlds and ages are “converging”…go me)
Large Shield without face: Unusually shaped paired greatshields resembling great doors. The firmly closed door will help to block a myriad of attacks from the enemies. (thought this was a DS2 callback)
Something interesting I noticed…that giant in the trailer and Father Ariandel look very, very similar. I think the clothing is the same, though the feathers on Ariandel make it hard to tell, and they both have the same kind of really long faces and spindly arms.
Speculation abounds! At least for me.

Yup. You nailed it.
And here, for years, I thought I these guys knew how storytelling worked.
This might be the first Soulsborne DLC that I don’t buy.
I’m just thankful I’m on the last tale of Malazan Book of the Fallen.
At least I’ll get one good conclusion from a story this year.
Time for…
Skarekrow13’s waaaaaaay too early lore musings!
TRAILER:
Title of DLC is “Ringed City.” Dark Sign’s name was originally going to be “Dark Ring” so city name might mean “Place of Ringed (undead) people.” First thing shown in trailer is the Dark Sign igniting then fading. This would provide some support for Londor ties
First real scene shows what appears to be the collapsing city near Firelink. As the screen pans down, we see a pilgrim approaching this place. Official info suggest we move past “rubbish” (voice of old woman) which could be the collapsing city. Other information suggests the fire is fading (common theme in this game) and we venture to the “end” of the world. Conclusion: Pilgrim is going to the same place we are. Further Conclusion: PIlgrims typically go to one of two places; 1. place of pilgrimage or 2. back home after pilgrimage. Either way, a Londor Pilgrim seemingly going the same way we are also provides support for Londor theme.
Next scene shows bug scampering across an area that looks a lot like the Untended Graves with a Brightstone or other Crystal addiction. Need to see more. Theme of collapsing structures and tilted geography remain.
Brief scene showing what appears to be outskirts of collapsing city. We’re quite deliberately shown what looks to be the remains of a windmill. Possible tower structure nearby with Stonework very similar to Earthen Peak.
Tower structure with spire looking like Sword of Avowal (as has been mentioned already). Further Londor suggetion?
Cool staff/banner (battle standard?) casting a miracle near what looks like a statue. Geography and architecture is not clearly visible. Very dark
Enemy crawling toward player and out comes the sword with a magic blade. No real hints in geography/architecture here either. Still pretty dark
Bow made of lightning (miracle or bow? clothes suggest miracle) being fired at a hard to identify enemy. Area reminiscent of Ariandel
Large undead cleric? Domed building behind it
Creature rising. Wings, pale appearance. Area with a lot of trees. Angel referred to in some Lothric miracles?
She has black hair, so she has to be Velka? Lol, who knows. Egg seems important though right?
Garoyle/Bat Demon?
PICTURES:
Looks like a Bat Demon…
Bug possibly from short segment in trailer. Crystal/Brighstone look reinforced here. Some pieces actually look similar to Titanite. Buildings in background don’t seem to place this in Untended Graves.
Poisonous water? Windmill? Reminds me of a Valley somewhere… Also, Giant mixed with vines?
Close up of collapsing city…not much to go on
Area reminds me of Forest of Fallen Giants (many architectural differences, just a similar feeling). Why does he have a torch out? It’s not that dark… Many buildings have the Sword of Avowal type spike on top.
Interesting picture of action. First thought was that we would be finding the Fan weapons from the Succubi/Desert Sorceress enemies in the DLC. It’s interesting however that the thing being swatted is wearing some deacon gear but doesn’t look like a deacon. Which character is the player character, and which is the enemy? Maybe we won’t get to use the fan?
I really want this shield…
This one too.
Where the FUCK are the serpents!?!?
Fuck you From. This is getting old.
Really.. that’s it?.
Another terrible trailer promising a bore of another 2 hour slosh.
What happened From?
Thank the Dark for Nioh.
This isn’t going to be anything I care about, I can already tell. Very disappointed again.
>
I’m not going to get my hopes up with things be related to past questions and explaining them. I think it’s more likely she’ll be a new character especially considering she doesn’t seem to have any scales that I can see. It probably is an egg of some kind though.
First quarter of 2017 looks to be a busy time for games. Nioh, For Honor, Torment: Tides of Numenera, and this. Oh and Mass Effect: Andromeda although I’m on the fence about that one.
>
The Ball Looks Like an Egg. Could this be Priscilla or Yorshka’s Mom?
Annnnnnd hyped… Looks promising with the whole end of the world. We shall go were no unkindled has gone before

Also at the tip of the tower at 0:50 there is something that looks oddly similar to the sword of avowal.
And this may be the last time we heard the epic old woman voice
So the woman looks like a Fire Keeper. Clearly her eyes have been damaged and she seems to have a similar crown/tiara/mask to our Firekeeper. On the other hand her clothes look very Way of White and I’m sure some people might guess she’s Gwynevere. I have no idea what that cracked white ball is though. My first thought is that it’s an egg and perhaps where that Bat Demon came from. The inside looks like earth and even has a bit of pure darkness, I’m not sure if that’s lighting or the abyss.

If I were to guess based on the quotes, the cityscape there is the “rubbish” we need to move beyond.
I am hoping the ringed city is the cityscape surrounding the kiln.
Am I the only one that thinks it’s a bat demon not a gargoyle?
