I was just using the Aldrich as the poster child of removing a lot of the randomness of the Sulyvahn area. I’m not saying there’s no point to an arena. For many PvP players arenas are great for a number of reasons.
I’m not sure if this is one of the best trolls ever or lazy…but either way it’s funny. Basically, it’s just “here’s the exact same circle of geography you’ve been fighting on for a year now, but in ARENA mode. And randomly hanging out in space for some reason.”
O M FUGGIN G! That is the most half a$$ uninspired garbage ever. All they had to do was give us Donnel/Perscilla’s room…thats it. EPIC FAIL!! What, they couldn’t import the Iron Keep Bridge? Did they lose the Undead Burg terrace? Forget about the grand hall of the Anor Londo Cathedral. Round Plaza, more like Round BLAHza!

to me, the aldritch faithful is not the problem bypassed.
the excruciatingly long loading screens, the inconsistency of summoning is what we dodge with an arena, nothing else. But in the end, passing from 70% to less than 10% of your gaming time looking at loading screen and summoning spirit message until it says summoning failed half an hour later is great in itself.
I can’t stop laughing that the flat arena they gave us is the flat arena everyone’s been using since day 1.

this is hilarious.
to me it screams “we do not give a flying fuck about PvP so fuck off, here is your “new” arena and now leave us alone”
that being said, I am totally happy with it from a dueling point of view.
