Today the internet discovered the rumored Prestige Edition of Dark Souls III is actually coming to Europe, although we do not yet know the prices, and word on the street is 490 USD. Freshly out of the press are some wonderful images of the impressive 40cm statue for your perusal!
The Collector’s Edition will bring the game plus a 25cm Red Knight figurine, a steelcase, an A4 hardcover artbook, steelcase, cloth map, collector’s box, soundtrack for 130~ USD
We’ll update you as soon as we have pricing confirmation for international locations! And please note that the “12th April 2016” is part of an image leaked by a Middle Eastern shop so by no means a confirmation of US release times.

Well, assuming things hold up “as is,” the CE with the Red Knight statue (which is the cooler one) looks to be about the same price as DSII’s CE in the states and comes with a better set of stuff. I felt the money was worth it for that one and still rock that Faraam statue.
The Prestige edition comes with a different chunk of likely carboard box and a slightly taller statue with another $300+ added onto it. With the PS4 dropping to $350 and the Xbox one being the same, I’m not guaranteeing it, but I’d bet that’s a console bundle.
If not, I agree with your edited premise (not the original as the word I removed is one of the worst ones I know). That prestige bundle is ludicrously high.
It’ll probably be $99 bucks, but I gotta save my paper money for the inevitable DLCs…

There’s a lot of variable we don’t know about yet, so let’s not get crazy about this. The price will likely be different in different regions depending on shipping laws and supply and demand within those regions. The other thing is, depending on the materials used for the statue itself, it seems that $300-$400 isn’t an insane price for a statue of that size. There’s more to the difference than the size of the figures: Red Knight could be made out of plastic, where Lord of Cinder could be made out of resin or something.
I will say that if it IS $490, I won’t be buying it. I just don’t think we can complain about the price until we know what the price actually is, or what we’re even paying for.
I’m curious on that. The statue is bigger and there’s a fancier box, but that’s a bit crazy for $300 more

as much as i would like the Prestige…nearly 500bucks is way too much for ANY game or Edition out there….! >_>
i have no Problems to pay a bit morefor a good collectors/Prestige or Special Edition if i like the “series” and being into it….
but all enjoyment has ist Limits and that nuked it by far….the BB-nightmare Edition i found still ok with the Price and what you got out of it…
but also i would more like an Lord of cinder (gwyn 2.0?) statue then a red Knight o.O
both figures 20cm height and same Price would be fair since the collectors doesnt have anything else extra as the Prestige…
I’m going to wait and see for international release dates because the pricing is merely converting from the given price found for that region so there is no telling what variation there could be for pricing from place to place. Still I guess if it turns out to be nearly 500 dollars I have to find a way to sell one of my kidneys…

I will never understand people, who have more than one statue. And this particular one is extraordinary ugly. Anyway to me Dark Souls series starts and ends with first game.
