Dark Devotion – New Announcement Trailer

Dark Devotion – New Announcement Trailer

Last updated on April 7th, 2018

A new announcement trailer has been released for Dark Devotion. Dark Devotion is a 2D side-scrolling action-RPG, which is being developed by The Arcade Crew. It will be released on PC and consoles.

Dark Devotion is coming to PC and consoles in 2018

We previously featured Dark Devotion when the Kickstarter campaign was on. For those of you who missed that article, in Dark Devotion, you play the role of a Templar who has to journey through a dark temple on a quest wrought with suffering and redemption. Will it be enough to shake your faith? In this game, you won’t be able to revisit old areas that you have previously explored. So you have to keep going onward, facing tougher and tougher bosses who want to defeat you – and damn your soul to purgatory. Here’s the official announcement trailer.

It looks dark, difficult and decidedly old-school. I’m getting a bit of a Dark Souls vibe from it too. This may be due to the Gothic aesthetic.

It’s great to see indie-RPGs such as this released thanks to the support of backers on Kickstarter.

Want more indie RPG news? If so, you could read Silly & sweet RPG Sword of Ditto heading to PlayStation 4 & PC. Alternatively, you could read Tower of Time will finally leave Early Access in April.

Uh, Caradox, that’s the Divinity: Original Sin 2 trailer. Might wanna fix that.

As for Dark Devotion, we talked about it back when the kickstarter was a thing. It was a lot of fun and the dark souls vibe is real. The combat is very much dark souls but with some nice twists and in a side scrolling rougelike format. I’m looking forward to it coming out.

Fixed the trailer FAllenangel700, thanks for the heads-up. The announcement trailer that’s up there now was added to YouTube a couple of days ago.

Yes, it looks pretty nice. :)
