In a move that will most likely annoy at least as many fans as it pleases, Square Enix‘s Tetsuya Nomura – the director of Final Fantasy VII Remake – has announced that they’re redesigning Cloud Strife for the remake.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Will Make Cloud Strife More of a Dork
They have said that they want him to reflect the dorky tendencies of how the original character was conceived. Many artists have drawn him to look more like a muscular superhuman, such as how he was portrayed in Kingdom Hearts, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT and Advent Children.

They are aiming for a “more natural” and “more youthful” look for Cloud in the Final Fantasy VII Remake. Perhaps he will end up looking a bit more like Vaan from Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age?

What do you think? Are you looking forward to seeing a dorkier, more natural looking Cloud or would you prefer his design to remain unchanged? Please comment below & let us know!
