CD Projekt Red Announces Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Tour

Developer CD Projekt Red seem to be raring to go for the Action-RPG Cyberpunk 2077’s expansion Phantom Liberty. A series of events taking place globally will showcase the Phantom Liberty expansion to fans in eight different countries. As for the exact schedule that’s yet to be divulged but it will take place after Summer Game Fest 2023.

The series of events seems to be signalling that CD Projekt Red could be dropping the launch date in the near future. The game is already set to be featured at Summer Game Fest on June 8th. The devs have teased they will be ready to “reveal some hot info” on the DLC Phantom Liberty. The exact details of what will be featured at this year’s showcase aren’t quite known.

As for the Phantom Tour, a number of cities have been confirmed including Warsaw, London, Paris, Cologne, Tokyo, Beijing, Seoul and São Paulo.

What We Know

We’ve already expected to have some news in June, as CD Projekt Red announced in March we would be getting the low down on the Phantom Liberty expansion. Another detail already known is that a new celebrity will be featured in the DLC‘s story Idris Elba. Playing the role of FIA Agent Solomon Reed. Keanu will be reprising his role as Johnny Silverhand.

The expansion will also veer away from last-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One. This time only being developed for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. This is due to the constraints of these consoles.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Summer Game Fest 2023
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty has previously been confirmed to be at Summer Game Fest on June 8th.

In case you missed it, Phantom Liberty will follow V, the main character of the main game. In the teaser trailer previously released, they look to be getting in some trouble again, now swearing allegiance to the New United States of America. Now with America at the hands of a new government, things are about to get bumpy. You can expect the “deepest game narrative ever” according to Elba.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty is expected to be released sometime in 2023. In the meantime head to our wiki for all your hacking needs.
