The new The Witcher and Cyberpunk games from CD Projekt RED can be tested through their new tester program, although itโs currently only available in the United States.
CD Projekt RED BETA Tester Program
The future of CD Projekt RED is very exciting. After overcoming the disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077 with a lot of effort, the Edgerunners anime, and the Phantom Liberty expansion, the Polish studio is now focusing on new installments of its two franchises, The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077.
Project Polaris, also known as The Witcher 4, is the most advanced project and, barring surprises, will be the first to hit stores. However, it seems this wonโt happen until 2026.
Other titles from the fantasy RPG saga are also in development, such as a multiplayer spin-off (Project Sirius) by The Molasses Flood, and a remake of the first The Witcher (Project Canis Majoris) by Foolโs Theory.
Additionally, part of the team behind Phantom Liberty is already working on the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 (Project Orion), which seems likely to extend its development until the end of this console generation.
Hereโs some good news: all these games can be tested ahead of time, as CD Projekt has announced its own tester program, open to any registered user on their website.
However, itโs currently only available in the United States, and there are some conditions or restrictions that weโll explain below.
What Is The RED Playtesting Program About?
On its social media CD Projekt RED has announced its official tester program, which allows anyone to sign up on their website and test the Polish studioโs upcoming games, such as The Witcher 4 or Cyberpunk 2.

If you are:
– at least 16 years old
– located or ready to travel to Boston, Massachusetts, for onsite activities
– passionate about gaming and eager to share your insights
– not involved in game developmentโฆ pic.twitter.com/ov8KDBgAot
Itโs called the RED Playtesting Program, and for now, itโs only confirmed for people residing in the United States. There are also several conditions and requirements to be aware of.
To begin with, the program is limited to people aged 16 or older. Availability to travel to the studio’s offices in Boston (Massachusetts) is also required, as that is where the testing activities will take place.
Another key factor is that individuals working in the video game industry are not eligible to participate. It is presumed this refers to specialized press and developers themselves.
And, as a final requirement but equally important, the RED Playtesting Program will evaluate all users who apply to participate, selecting those they deem most suitableโthose who love video games and possess the necessary knowledge.
