Bloodborne: The Board Game Coming to Kickstarter 2019
CMON Games which originally started as a community rating miniatures website, went into the board and tabletop game market in 2011. They have produced such games as Zombicide, Arcadia Quest, Blood Rage, Rum & Bones, XenoShyft and more. They now set their eyes on the Bloodborne game and bringing it into physical form as a board game which will be designed by Eric M. Lang and Michael Shinall. It will be through a Kickstarter project launch next year that will be their process of bringing it to fruition. They have also produced a previous Bloodborne title in the form of a card game, but the board game sets out to be quite different from it’s predecessor.

In an interview at Gen Con between Eric M. Lang the game designer and CMON Games, we gain more insight into what to expect from this upcoming board game. Lang explains that the game will follow the lore of Bloodborne, delving into the existing covenants but offering a new experience to Bloodborne fans. Could it be a sign BB 2 is coming? See, they announced the Dark Souls Board Game project just before Dark Souls 3 released. Resident Evil 2 The Board Game was announced months before the official RE2 Remake announcement. Considering this will be on Kickstarter next year and it says it will hit the retails on 2020, maybe they are making this to promote a Bloodborne game in 2020
Hate to rain on this parade, but neither designer of this game are known for particularly great games, which they make a lot of lately. It will have a lot of good minis, definitely. But as a boardgame, it is likely be about mediocre, not terrible, not particularly remarkable either.
I am probably gonna get it, but wish it had some real talent behind it…
This is awesome! I wish we were getting Bloodborne II. Still love the card game so gunna get this
I wonder if we can convince them to make an app like Mansions of Madness has. I really love the interaction of board and app for that, and would love to have the music while we play.
This is awesome! Definitely backing this
