According to a recent discovery by dataminer Lance McDonald Bloodborne is still capped at 30FPS for Bloodborne.
Bloodborne Is Still Locked at 30 FPS on PS5
As the embargos lift for the Playstation 5 which releases this week, new details are coming out about backwards compatibility. If you’re planning to dive back into old favourites such as Bloodborne, be wary as the framerate is still locked at 30FPS according to Lance McDonald who is an avid data miner and content creator who has focused on many FromSoftware games.
Okay, embargo is up and I’m allowed to talk about PlayStation 5 back compat now. All I have to say is Sekiro is 60fps, Dark Souks 3 is 60fps (it’s locked at 30 on Xbox Series X, rip), and Bloodborne is still 30fps with bad frame pacing. ✌️

In order for Bloodborne to run at 60FPS it would need a much needed update. However Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Dark Souls 3 can run at 60FPS. The reason Bloodborne cannot run any higher is that the developers haven’t released further updates and the game was designed to be locked at 30.
Will FromSoftware release a patch for Bloodborne on PS5 soon? The odds are slim as they are already busy working on their next game Elden Ring, which was confirmed to still be in the works recently. It would be great if they could release one as Bloodborne still remains a console exclusive for the Playstation brand.
Maybe a Bloodborne remaster is more likely with rumours earlier this year, which also mentioned the Demon’s Souls Remake by Bluepoint which inevitably was confirmed and is a PS5 launch title.
