BioShock & Dishonored alumni are developing The Blackout Club for consoles

A dream team of BioShock and Dishornored alumni are working together on a co-operative survival horror game called The Blackout Club.

The Blackout Club is coming in 2019, so get stealthy!

Developers who formerly worked on BioShock and Dishonored have formed their own studio – called Question. The Blackout Club will be the studio’s first game and it’s expected to be released on consoles in 2019. Check out the trailer below.

It’s being described as a “cooperative paranormal horror mystery”. Their goal is to release it on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC early next year.  The game’s focus is stealth gameplay. You sneak out at night to photograph the town’s deep dirty secrets. You’ll also need to investigate your friend’s disappearance. The town sits atop a maze of tunnels. The tunnels connect “a hostile underworld filled with hypnotic music and populated by a clandestine group of adults.”

“Our story is about vulnerable heroes — for whom co-op gameplay is a matter of survival — who unite to save their friends. We love expressive systems, where you shape the game experience as you see fit, often versus a whole ecosystem of intelligent threats. And now, they’re right next door — in a familiar, modern town, where the monster wears a human face.” – Jordan Thomas, co-founder Question.

The Blackout Club

In addition to BioShock and Dishonored, some of the developers also worked on Thief and Prey. So it’s a very experienced studio.
