Kung-fu fable RPG Biomutant will be getting a next-gen upgrade on Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 6th.

Biomutant Update for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S Releases September 6th

THQ Nordic have announced the loveable furry mutant game Biomutant will be getting an update for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 6th. The update will be free for existing owners of the game, adding 4K resolution, HDR support and will boost frame-rate up to 60FPS.

Playstation 5 and Xbox Series Update

For Playstation 5 players there will be three graphics mode available which include Quality running at 30fps at 4K, Quality Unleashed running at 40+fps and up to 4K. Finally, Performance mode which has fps locked at 60 at 1440p. Both DualSense support and Activity Cards will also be available.

For Xbox Series players they will also gain the same three graphical options but will vary on console version. Quality will will still offer 30fps at 4K, but 1440p for Series S players. Quality Unleashed runs at 40+fps and up to 4K for Series X, or 1440p on Series S. As for Performance mode, 60fps locked at 1440p or 1080p on Series S.

A Creature Adventure

In case you missed the furry adventure, the game originally release in May 2021, after a long-awaited launch. The game features a Kung-Fu inspired RPG where players take on the post-apocalyptic open-world as a mutant hero.

Not only can players customise their own furry creature in appearance, but these appearance alterations also affect their attributes. The game surpassed the 1 million copies sold mark in August last year. As has received updates that gave options to turn off the narrator as well as a more challenging extreme difficulty mode.

Biomutant free Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S update will release on September 6th. The game is also currently available on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.
