When pressed on Twitter about when we will finally get to play the next Elder Scrolls game, Bethesda PR Pete Hines reiterated that it will only be released once two other new projects have been finished and released. So you still have a long wait before you can get stuck into Elder Scrolls 6.

Will we get to play The Elder Scrolls 6 before the world ends?

When asked about why they weren’t able to do another new Elder Scrolls game when they were able to continually pump out Skyrim remakes, he explained that most of the work on those was handled by other studios.

“Those were largely done by other studios so that the team could focus on new projects.” – Pete Hines, Bethesda PR

I hope that their new projects are going to be worth it. With that reminder that we won’t get to play the Elder Scrolls 6 any time soon, it looks like the race is on! Which will we get to play first? The Elder Scrolls 6 or Half-Life 3? On your marks…get set…go play some other game!
