Baldur’s Gate 3 Will Be in Early Access By the End of 2020
At an investor event at the New York Toy Fair, Hasbro has confirmed that Larian Studios will be ready to have Baldur’s Gate 3 in Early Access on Steam by the time the year is out. Hasbro is the parent company of of D&D owner Wizards of the Coast.
Hasbro also revealed they have seven D&D games in development, and plans to release both Baldur’s Gate 3 and Dark Alliance by the end of the year. Dark Alliance is the reboot of the 2001 game, set to be a third-person action hack and slash RPG. The other D&D projects will launch sometime between now and 2025.
Larian Studios has already revealed they will be unveiling some gameplay footage of Baldur’s Gate 3 at PAX East 2020, on February 27th at 15:00 ET.

Baldur’s Gate 3 was revealed during Google Stadia’s Connect stream during June of last year, which confirmed to the world that Larian was indeed working on the next instalment. BG3 will take place after the events of Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2. While the game will be a set of new adventures to be had by all, it will reference some of what happened in previous titles and expect to see some familiar faces from the series.
