Baldur’s Gate 3 players have eagerly embraced mods. Larian Studios announced that over 50 million mods have been downloaded since official mod support was introduced in September on PC and in October on PS5 and Xbox Series. This figure doesnโt include fan-made creations circulating since the early access release on PC in 2020.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Mods
As highlighted by Larian Studios in their post on X/Twitter, more than 10,000 downloads are for a comedic mod by creator SydMeier, titled “Bone Daddy.”

Apparently 10,000 of those downloads were you renaming Withers to Bone Daddy.

This skeletal NPC mod allows players to respec both the protagonist and companions, and has become a social media phenomenon.
Many fans are humorously fixated on the characterโs skeletal lookโparticularly the lack of a nose. This fascination mirrors the fan interest in Fallout’s Ghouls, which can also be seen on social media.
Larian is Now Focused on Upcoming Games
In other Baldur’s Gate 3 news, Larian confirmed that the game will be enhanced for the PS5 Pro, launching in Spain and worldwide on November 7.
Beyond these visual improvements and ongoing bug-fix updates, the Divinity: Original Sin team has wrapped up adding major content to its highly-rated title and is now working on new, undisclosed games outside the Dungeons & Dragons universe.
