Baldur’s Gate 3 New Image Revealed

Recently Larian Studios unveiled a new image showing a further peek into Baldur’s Gate 3. The latest concept art posted in an article by IGN, shows a mindflayer or Ilithid on a nautiloid ship.

So far we haven’t seen more in terms of visuals since Baldur’s Gate 3 was unveiled with its trailer featuring the main character, a member of the Flaming Fists showing what happens if you get too close to a mindflayer. This was also the first we saw of the Nautiloid’s ship used to travel to the Astral Plane.

We also learnt quite a bit more about the gameplay info when we interviewed Larian and Wizards of The Coast back in June, including the 5th Edition rule set and the the return of “several characters from the campaign”.

If you want to know more about Baldur’s Gate 3 and the chosen rule set be sure to read/watch next Baldur’s Gate III Prep: 5th Edition D&D – Abilities & The D20 and Baldur’s Gate III Prep: 5th Edition D&D – Proficiency, Skills & Advantage/Disadvantage. You can also find out what Larian have commented about the possibility of a Nintendo Switch release.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been confirmed to be releasing on PC and Stadia, with no release date announced as of yet.

Illithids need ships to travel the Astral plane? They’re all powerful psionicists. They should be able to just astrally project there. The nautoloid ships were created to travel through space in the "Spelljammer" setting.

Larian is the most overrated studio in RPG gaming.

Writing is on par with an Adam Sandler movie.
    UI is atrocious.
    Character models are gross.
    Menus are ugly.
    Voices are cringeworthy.

I’ve never understood the love they get. Their games are an insult to fantasy culture.
