Atlas Fallen the Open World Action-RPG Gets Delayed to August 2023

You will have to wait a little longer to have the power to wield sand weapons as Atlas Fallen has now been pushed to August 10th 2023. Originally set to release on May 16 for PC Xbox Series and PS5, it will now be released a few months later. Publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Deck13 have shared on Twitter that the reason for the delay is to “give the game some extra time”. The game is promised to get some new gameplay footage and updates in Summer 2023.

With game shows such as Summer Game Fest and E3 2023 just around the corner [UPDATE – E3 2023 now cancelled], we could be seeing more of this open-world title during these kinds of events. In case you missed the details, Atlas Fallen combines the ability to wield the power of sand and take on some interesting beasts. The enemies include mutated insects, demons as well as sand creatures. Safe to stay there will be some fast-paced combat with some menacing foes.

Players won’t start off overpowered, they will need to spend time upgrading a magical Gauntlet that will require the use of Essence and Shards to harness its true powers. With it, players can take on three different forms, the Dunecleaver, the Sandwhip, and the Knuckledust. Combat can be taken on in co-op with a “seamless” experience according to Deck13.

While surely it’s disappointing we will have to wait longer for this desert surfer to cook a little longer, hopefully this means it will be enough time to add the extra polish needed.
