According to the Ubisoft German store listing, a game season pass for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will unlock a mission about the legendary Beowulf, where the main character Eivor will “discover the cruel truth behind the legend”. Beowulf is based on an Old English poem of the same name, that tells the tale of a hero who fights monsters but eventually gets defeated by a dragon.

The second mission exclusive to Valhalla mentions “The Way of the Berserker” which is available with pre-order, but doesn’t mention much details about this mission. Previously Assassin’s Creed Odyssey also had a similar pre-order exclusive which was made available to all players later on separately.

From the looks of it, Beowulf could be a bonus mission, not part of the main story for the season pass. So far the season pass has been described to take you to “new countries”.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was announced last week with a cinematic trailer which was followed up with a “gameplay” trailer which mostly showed in-game scenes but no actual combat gameplay. In response to this Valhalla creative director Ashraf Ismail shared that they have a “long marketing campaign ahead” and that we can expect to see some “in-depth gameplay” as they continue their campaign.
