Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Launches November

Ubisoft announced over the weekend that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be launching this November, putting it head to head with Cyberpunk 2077.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Launches November

During the Ubisoft Forward live stream today they revealed that the upcoming viking set Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be launching officially on November 17th 2020 on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia. It will also be coming to Xbox Series X and Playstation 5 when these next-gen platforms launch.

As well as announcing the launch date, Ubisoft also showed off some new gameplay for Valhalla. The trailer takes a closer look at core mechanics which follows previous Asssassin’s titles but with some key changes. Fans can expect elements that they’ve seen in Odyssey and Origins, which are now more refined in Valhalla.

But there are some major changes to core gameplay, the biggest change being combat. Players will now need to keep an eye on the Stamina meter. This means you can’t simply spam attacks but will have to be more strategic in combat.

There are also similarities to Action-RPGs such as Dark Souls, where players will have health items much like the Estus Flasks. Eivor can heal himself/herself throughout the game but only through a food item. Food can be replenished by gathering materials in the game’s world, which includes vegetables, herbs and berries.

What’s also exciting is that you can dual-wield any set of weapon combinations including doubles shield, Shields can be used as a brunt force to hit enemies and charge at them. There is also the return of stealth, using a hood and cloak, making yourself blend into the crowd.

You can check out the feature gameplay in the Ubisoft Forward Segment below, there’s also a full 30 minutes of gameplay on the official Ubisoft North America youtube channel.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will release on November 17th on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia. It will also be coming to Xbox Series X and Playstation 5 in holidays 2020.
