TTriumph Studios and Paradox Interactive announces new 4X building sci-fi turn-based strategy game called Age of Wonders: Planetfall which will be releasing on PC and console next year 2019.
Age of Wonders: Planetfall Announced
The exact release date for the strategy game Age of Wonders: Planetfall has not been announced but we do know it will launch in 2019. The announcement includes that it will be released on console but exactly which console has not been specified.
Features of the game will include:
- Strategic Turn-Based Combat in Sci-fi theme – An intense turn-based battle with tactile challenges, a large range of races, units with customisable weapons and destructible environments.
- Explore a in-depth Sci-Fi world – Discover the history of the fallen galactic empire as you travel across enriched landscapes and experience an engaging story. Encounter different factions of NPCs with rival houses. Learn about hidden technologies that can strengthen your people and gives you a strategic advantage over your opponents.
- Build of Planetary Empire – Create your own House and build colonies through economic specialisations of planetary sectors and governing doctrines.
- Multiple Paths to Victory – Achieve your end goals through conquests, diplomacy or end the of world technologies. A vast range of detailed options with NPC faction based and House based rivalry will not make mission easy.
Triumph CEO Lennart Sas shared that it took around three years to develop Planetfall on the new generation of its Creator Engine. They also shared their aim:
Our aim is to make a game that greatly expands upon its predecessors, and still employs the core principles that made Age of Wonders such a success.
