  1. It’ll be interesting to see how gameplay footage gets trickled out beyond the hyper controlled atmosphere of an E3 showcase. There were a lot of really cool features that made it look similar to a refined Assassin’s Creed concept with open world and movement options. The combat seemed to avoid QTE like style, but with how cinematic they tried to make everything feel that’s my big worry (that they’ll dumb down some combat elements to make a more seamless feel).

If the combat is as good as it looked, this game looks phenomenal.

  2. Some of us like that samurai action. Expand your cultural horizons.

The presser was so choppy for me that I couldn’t get a good feel for gameplay. Constantly churning circle. Completely missed the Nioh 2 trailer.

  3. Sekiro, Nioh 2, this game… is it the year of the samurai action-adventure game? I’m most interested in Sekiro of course, I still haven’t played the first Nioh, I’d like to do that first before having any thoughts one way or another about a sequel, and this game looks…fine I guess. Sekiro might have spoiled me a bit. I read someone describe this as like a samurai-themed Witcher game. So it has potential. Still…third time’s the charm, but three’s also a crowd, just – no more samurai game announcements, please!
