Pokemon RPG for the Switch may be released in 2018

A recent survey by Nintendo suggests that a Pokemon RPG may be released for the Nintendo Switch in 2018.

That’s great! I love enslaving cute creatures & forcing them to knock other cute creatures unconscious!

Nintendo confirmed last year that a Pokemon RPG was in the works. So far, the Switch only has Pokken Tournament DX, so this would be the first “proper” Pokemon game for the console. A recent survey sent out by Nintendo asked gamers which Switch games they would be most likely buy in 2018…and Pokemon RPG was listed as one of the options.

pokemon rpg pokken tournament — If you’re desperate for a Pokemon fix on the Switch then you could play Pokken Tournament DX. It’s not a great Pokemon game or a great fighting game in general but it is the only Pokemon game on the Switch & you did say you were desperate.

Whilst this isn’t quite official confirmation, it does make it seem likely. The core Pokemon games are typically on handheld systems. With the power of the switch behind it, this could be an interesting title. Or it could be a lazy straight port of the 3DS games, with the addition of a few extra Pokemon trying to justify the dearer price.
