Elder Scrolls Online Greymoor Launch Delayed A Week

Zenimax have released an update from the Studio’s Game Director Matt Firor, sharing a message about the upcoming expansion the Elder Scrolls Online Greymoor. In a letter to the ESO community he outlines the changes made to their work setup with the Zenimax team now working from home. This has caused a slight delay in the launch of the expansion which will now be releasing one week later than scheduled.

According to their Twitter this applies to both PC and console versions, with PC usually releasing a couple weeks earlier than Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version was originally suppose to launch on May 18th, with Xbox One and PS4 on June 2nd.

The PTS will go live with Update 26 and Greymoor on April 20th, but Firor does share they will keep everyone updated if there are any run ins with unexpected problems. The letter also shares that due to the current situation the French VO will not be available upon launch, and only subtitles with English VO.

Greymoor is the next expansion to hit the Elder Scrolls Online, following the Dark Heart of Skyrim. While Greymoor takes place in Skyrim, it is set almost a 1000 years before the events that take place in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Greymoor will feature Western Skyrim such as Solitude and Blackreach, giving 30+ hours of content.

Along with a new chapter comes a new Antiquities system where players can treasure hunt for trophies and furnishings across the ESO world. There will also the addition of a new 12 player trial Kyne’s Aegis and the rebalancing of the Vampire skill line. ESO will be adding a new type of public quest which works in similar way to Dolmens or the dragon hunts you find in Elsweyr. You can check out all the new additions in our Elder Scrolls Online Greymoor Gameplay Preview & Changes.

Elder Scrolls Online Greymoor will release on PC in May a week later than it’s original May 18th date, as well as PS4 and Xbox One a week later than it’s original June 2nd launch date. If you’re interested to try out ESO for free be sure to catch the Free Play event available until April 13th and the Greymoor Prologue quest.
