Bandai Namco and Dengeki Online share the latest Sword Art Online story trailer for upcoming DLC Alicization Lycoris, and details Premium Pass contents and more.

Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris Story Trailer Plus DLC Details

Dengeki Online and Bandai Namco have unveiled the Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris DLC plus the Premium Pass contents in their latest stream. The game will come with free monthly content which includes Raid Bosses, and a Premium Pass with exclusive content which is going to be half the size of the base game. There is also gacha type system for cosmetics.

There will be a Daily Quest system which will give players objectives such as defeating 10 enemy types, getting 5 units of items, use 10 Sword Skills or even doing 3 Link Attacks with particular characters and more.

Completing the Daily Quests will grant players Cube Tickets which can be used to gain Cubes that contain random cosmetics such as weapon skins, costumes, emotes and other items. These items will not affect the characters’ stats. There is also an in-game currency known as SAO Coins, you can purchase these will real money. SAO Coins can go towards buying the costumes and cosmetics if you don’t want to use the gacha system.

There’s also a brand new trailer featuring the DLC for the JRPG at the moment only available in Japanese, but an English subbed version should be out soon. You can check out the trailer below:

Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris will launch on May 22nd worldwide on PC via Steam, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
