NieR: Automata Producer Teases 10th Year Anniversary Announcement

Approaching the 10th anniversary of the NieR series, producer Yosuke Saito teases a cryptic message about an unannounced title.

NieR: Automata Producer Teases 10th Year Anniversary Announcement

In an interview with Weekly Famitsu which was translated by Twinfinite, producer of NieR Automata Yosuke Saito hints some form of announcement is coming concerning the 10th anniversary. He shares:

This and that and an unannounced title.

But according to the translation by Twinfinite, Saito could be teasing more than one title to be announced, as the word “title” could also mean “titles” due to the fact that Japanese doesn’t have a distinct difference between singular and plural in this context. This isn’t the first hint of something happening for the 10 year anniversary, as last month a teaser website launched.

Saito also shared that 2020 will be busy as their Square Enix game Babylon’s Fall, will begin to reveal more info following the gameplay trailer which was revealed at the end of last year.

The latest entry in the franchise was NieR Automata which launched in February 2017, and was well received having sold four million copies as May 2019 according to pcgamesn. It received the Platinum Prize at the Playstation Awards 2019 and the Playstation 25th Anniversary Users Choice Award.

We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for further news following this mysterious teaser from Saito. If you’re eager to find out about Babylon’s Fall, be sure to read/watch our Babylon’s Fall First Look: Nier Automata Goes DMC With Hints Of Dark Souls.
