During last month’s Gamescom 2017, THQ Nordic and the newly formed Experiment 101 Studios (comprised of veteran developers who’ve worked on Mad Max and such) officially announced at the event of their upcoming Open-World Action-RPG: BioMutant.

BioMutant Coming Next Year!

In BioMutant you’re a customizable Rocket Racoon furry type creature who shoots with dual pistols and wields a large blade, DMC-like style.

“A plague is ruining the land, but the Tree of Life still stands. Question is, for how long?”

Revealed from PAX West, Seattle, a 25 minute long gameplay video emerged showing us even more the things that you can expect out of the game.

In the video below (courtesy to IGN), we’re introduced to its world and treated to combat mechanics, new enemy types, and a little bit of the story which seems to be influenced by its morality ‘Yin/Yang’ system:

BioMutant is slated for launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in 2018, and will retail for $59.99 USD. A collector’s edition was revealed during the official anouncement, that will go for $119.99 USD.
