Vampyr Releases New Trailer for E3 2017, Announces November Release

Focus Home Interactive and Dontnod Entertainment have released a new trailer for Vampyr, their upcoming Action RPG, where you take on the role of Dr. Jonathan Reid, a recently turned vampire in London during the Spanish flu epidemic after WWI. They have announced that the game will release in November 2017, with no exact date as of yet. Check out the trailer:

To survive against deadly foes roaming the streets – vampire hunters, undead Skal and other monstrosities – you will need to choose which civilians to feed on, so you can grow stronger and evolve your vampiric abilities. Use your unholy powers to manipulate and delve into the lives of those around you – but be prepared to live with the consequences of your actions. A web of interconnected citizens with unique lives and relationships react to your decisions, and killing just one may cause the downfall of an entire city district. Your actions will save or doom London.

The trailer shows off some of the slick and moody atmosphere of the game, as well as gives a look at the vampiric combat skills you’ll be using in the game.

Pre-orders are available now and net you the following bonuses:

  • The pre-order bonus includes two weapons from famous passed hunters:
    • Dragonbane – The sword of Paulinus Aurelianus, mythical founder of the Brotherhood of Saint Paul Stole, known as a dragon hunter.
    • Barker – The pistol of Carl Eldritch, second leader of the Guaard of Priwen, who has taken an oath to hunt down every last vampire.
  • Dark Physician Suit – Perfect for a vampire doctor who must travel discretely through London under pouring rain or in the biting cold of the night.

A new look at the game and a timeframe for release. ‘Tis the season! We’ll be getting a better look at the game next week at E3 and will be sure to bring you more insights on it, so keep checking back!
