The Surge Releases New Combat Trailer That Shows The Game’s Visceral Battles

Deck13 and Focus Home Interactive have released a new trailer for The Surge, that shows the game’s visceral combat in more detail and depth. Check it out:

You will make use of vertical and horizontal attacks, as well as strike power, to target and dismember specific limbs, so you can loot what you cut. Looting upgrades for your exo-suit is key to progression, and surviving challenging physically based combat situations is a matter of skill. Positioning and speed are important, so you will make use of your exo-enhanced dodges, blocks, ducks and jumps to avoid attacks while managing stamina, to ensure you are in position to land a severing blow or deflect an incoming weapon attack. If you get hit in an unarmored limb, you’ll go down faster. If you exploit your enemy’s weaknesses you may very well leave owning a piece of them for your own goals.

Throughout your journey you’ll be assisted by an industrial drone, a former CREO machinery tech that has been repurposed for comabt. You can shield yourself, or burn, knock down, pull, and blast enemies as you engage in melee combat.

Looks like a fun day at the office! The Surge drops on May 16th for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Keep checking back with us for more!
