A couple of images of promotional posters have surfaced on the internet today that seem to state a September 8th release date for Destiny 2 along with a pre-launch beta. Check out the images from European Gamestops:

Activision has already confirmed on a couple of occasions that the sequel to Destiny was on track for release in Fall 2017 and we know that Bungie has a massive development team working on it. Recently Bungie said that characters would be carrying over but that progression and gear would not. Beyond that, any changes to formula remain speculative.
