At a Playstation Pro event today, Team Ninja stated that Sony will be publishing Nioh in Europe, North America, and Asia excluding Japan when it releases February 9th on the PS4 family of consoles. The developer is working with Sony to “get the game into as many hands as possible”.
Furthermore, Nioh was confirmed to support the PS4 Pro when it releases next year and will offer players the following game modes, depending on their tastes:
- HD Option 1: Movie Mode Stable 1920×1080 resolution with high quality anti-aliasing at 30fps
- HD Option 2: Action Mode Stable 1920×1080 resolution at 60fps
- 4K Option 1: Movie Mode Stable 3840×2160 resolution at 30fps
- 4K Option 2: Action Mode Stable 1920×1080 resolution at 60fps

The screenshots show some of the content we learned about this week such as the historical figures of Ishida Mitsunari, Shima Sakon and Otani Yoshitsugu as well as a new stage, some shots of the boss Nue and a skill named Jyumonji that is executed with dual katanas.
