Famitsu has shared an image of Nioh today from their upcoming issue that shows some new historical NPCs. The page was linked via their Twitter.

The image shows some of the historical people we can expect to encounter in the game, specifically Ishida Mitsunari, Shima Sakon and Otani Yoshitsugu as well as some additional info background and a new stage set in Mt. Hiel.

We’ve been a little starved for info on the Nioh front, and although this isn’t much, it’s definitely something! We’ll try and get some translations for you and will update this article accordingly. It seems Team Ninja is very committed to bringing a lot of Japanese history into the Action RPG, as well as the country’s spiritual heritage and we can’t wait to see more of what they have in store for us.
