Open with ye old hand cannon to his face at the beginning before he engages, that should take a nice bite out of his health bar.

Dunno how you went about it, but I found quickstance with an uchi + dual katanas easiest for me; anything slower and he dodge/punishes pretty consistently. Once I got a handle on draining his Ki by distancing/dodging his gleaming charges and reprising, things went a lot smoother. The crits you score from Ki draining him are your money makers, but if you let him do it to you, you’re pretty much boned.

  2. I beat the main mission but how to beat that samurai boss from the additional mission? Are we supposed to farm gear from the revanants, level up and then go kill this boss?

  3. It should not be live for another six hours, but I’m not sure how they are handling time zones.

  4. when is the access time for you guys? for me it shows 20/01/2017 17:00 to 23/01/2017 04:00 which is in 90 minutes from now…I am from India btw which fall under EU store i guess…

  5. I’m so excited for this! Haven’t gamed much in the last two weeks, so just gonna play this demo all weekend! See ya online, revenants and maybe coop-ers.

  6. Good, I get to test out the kusarigama before the game is released. Looking at a dual katana/kusarigama build. Guess I’ll have a ton of ninjutsu at the ready.

  7. The demo is available for Aus players too, under the name “Nioh: Last Chance Trial” :)

  8. Well, I’m skipping Gravity Rush 2 for now, but besides Berseria, then Nioh, comes Horizon Zero Dawn and I’ll barely have scratched any/all of those when my Persona 5, comes to US in April. I’m thinking those 4 games will consume all of 2017 for me. Incredible year for PS4; one might say this will be the year of the PS4.

  9. Nier Automata also just around there, followed by Torment: Tides of Numenera, and then Mass Effect Andromeda.

    We’re gonna be busy!

ElvesRule: I think the demo is meant as a demo rather than an alpha or beta test – this is possibly a “create hype” initiative… and in my case it’s worked haha.

  10. How am I supposed to play all this? Gravity Rush 2, Tales of Berseria and Nioh, all of that in not even a month.

  11. Phooey! I really need to learn Japanese, goldarnit! Unfair!
Please tell us how awesome it is.

Wait, how can there be another demo if the game has already gone “gold”? Day 1 megapatch?
