The beta demo for Nioh, the new action RPG from Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo is available today worldwide for PS4 players. The beta demo builds upon the feedback received during the alpha demo period and offers players a look at more new content such as the new familiarity system which has replaced weapon durability.

Players can replay the Usuki stage from the alpha demo with a chance to earn the Mark of the Conqueror DLC if they have not done so yet. Those who beat the stage in the alpha start the beta with new weapons and extra money and can play the new Nakatsu stage right away. Those who complete the Nakatsu stage will earn a new DLC called Mark of the Strong. Afterwards, the Twilight Mission becomes available which lets players tackle either of the 2 stages on a much more challenging difficulty with stronger enemies, new creatures and new rare items to earn. The demo will feature new weapons, onmyo magic and ninjutsu as well as a training dojo available from the start where players can practice their techniques in a safe (relatively) environment.
