New Monster Hunter World Gameplay Video Released: 25 Minutes of Hunting Action

If you have been itching to see the newly announced Monster Hunter World in action, Capcom has unveiled 25 minutes of hunting gameplay. The quest begins at 46:30 in the showcase video below:

Monster Hunter World Gameplay Details

The action shown in the gameplay seems to be the same quest that we witnessed unfold during Sony’s E3 2017 presentation last week, and tasks the hunter with armoring up and taking down an Anjanath. Along the way we see how the various monsters all interact according to their hierarchy and at the end of the gameplay we see the game’s 4 person multiplayer in action. The beast is felled with teamwork and skilled weapon use, leaving its hide for crafting use, and this time no Rathalos has crashed the party.

The game will require Playstation Plus to play online, and it has been confirmed that Hunter Styles and Hunter Arts will not be making an appearance in this iteration, with Capcom instead focusing on new features.

Monster Hunter World is scheduled to release for the PS4 and Xbox One early in 2018, with a PC release shortly after the consoles. Thoughts on the gameplay? Let us know in the comments.

  1. Do I spy a new weapon? When the guy was changing his weapon in the tent, there were 15 weapons there. I recognized all of them except the one in the bottom right corner. It’s too pixelated for me to tell what it is, but I don’t think I’ve seen that before. Wonder what it is.

I kinda don’t like how the guy was able to just sprint along side the monsters in broad daylight and not get noticed by them. I hope stealth is a bit harder than that.

Otherwise, I’m liking it. The new mechanics look great, and those new moves look like fun. Can’t wait for it to come out.

  2. It’s video footage of the same quest that we witnessed during the Sony presentation, of which there were some leaks. The quest plays out in different ways obviously so it’s different from time to time. In our presentation, Rathalos showed up and the party started hunting it instead.

  3. Is this the same footage as the bootleg video showed a few days ago? Feels as though it’ similar but can’t remember details
