Sleep paralysis is a major part of my life. It's beyond obsession.

You can access different dimensions by using astral projection, which is much easier when paralyzed.

Which one? When I think of south Africa, I think of groups of army gangs invading remote villages pillaging and killing on a daily basis.

Yeah, my paralysis usually launches me into something crazy. I was having many hypnagogic episodes last fall-winter where I'd shake the paralysis off and eventually think it was over, only to be trapped in a different version of my apartment.

I'd try and make it outside after realizing that I wasnt actually in reality, usually to attempt flight. I managed to levitate pretty high a few times but something about flying always kicks me back into my body.
Interesting side note is all the cheesy electronic equipment that would be randomly placed about.
Usually with a white casing with old style nobs and colored light similar to Christmas lights. These popped up a lot across several episodes. One time a piece was just planted out in the yard a bit dilapidated and about the size of a couch.
Another time the electronic equipment was built into me like a badly designed suit, flashing lights and all.

I can rarely form words in these experiences. I try but it comes out in moans and grunts. I also have trouble looking directly ahead of me. Trying so results in intense vibrations and blurred vision.

Last Halloween I took a nap around 8pm.
Sleep paralysis started and I decided to roll with it. I watched a shadow walk across my wall. I've seen the exact thing several times before. Always to the right of me and walking the opposite way that I'm facing. A short girl.

Noises started going off in my head, which is normal for me in the beginning stages of paralysis. I was getting fiery popping noises, electronic buzzes and blips and things like that. It's pretty trippy so I usually let it happen awhile depending on my current level of comfort with the episode.

I suddenly realized how to easily leave my body, so I did. I started hovering up to the celing, but just as I got up to that point, I felt this intense jolting, like a hand just grabbed my ethereal form and was slamming it back into my body. Synchronized to this, I also felt a hand gripping at the side of my physical stomach, the side I was currently sleeping on. It felt like something was pulling me. As I slammed back into my body though, I realized the pulling was a effort to get inside me, as I felt it settling within the moments of returning to my body. I didn't move for awhile as that entire side of my torso tingled as if suddenly numbed.

Can you kill a ghost? I don't know, but you can snap their cord and they tend to go away for awhile.

I had a dream where I killed a bunch of demons. Like literal mind demons, whose energy then came into me. After that, I felt depressed for a while, like a burden weighed on my heart. I'm not a man of divine faith (far from it) but I definitely believe in the otherworldly and supernatural. Seen and experienced too many things to not.

Lucid dreaming is a big thing for me. And when I dream, sometimes, I feel like it's truly reality, at least another reality. Things just feel too alive and real to just be a part of my imagination, and if it is, I have one wild and powerful imagination.

I look at it like this.

New Age pseudo-science even toys with the idea of multiple realities. So maybe that isn't a bad start if one prefers that way of thinking over the mystical side of things, or 'divine intervention'.

If the 4th dimensional 'you' is every moment of your being existing as one synonymous moment, isn't it fair to say that we are eternal? So maybe that 4th dimensional self is something like a focal point of all of the energy that makes you, and all those other 'you' existing in the third dimension are like tethers or strings from this one source.

And if our dreams connect us to a 'higher level of consciousness' it seems likely to have some spill over from other versions of you within your own psyche.

When someone has an experience where they feel they encounter a higher power, could that presence just be your own 4th dimensional self, giving you a taste of the eternal?
Or perhaps, the 4th dimensional self of someone else, and that's why some people believe in ghosts and demons.

Having experienced regular paranormal episodes since childhood (I'm now 36) I can't for a second be convinced that this is all just fancy daydreaming. I don't believe in god. I don't believe in hevean. Such concepts are anathema to free thinking. Simply because they propose too many easy answers to questions that we will never have an answer for, at least at our current phase of consciousness and technology.

Only when technology can truly tap into the human mind can we begin to understand the metaphysical laws of our universe and mind, and more importantly, deciphering actual law from chaotic anomaly, both of which are abundant in the physical universe as well as as within the metaphysical macrososm of consciousness.

An old law of science is that nothing can be destroyed, only change form. Can the same thing not be said about the energy that makes us?

Interesting idea. The universe has a finite amout of matter/energy. But do living creatures add to this matter and energy through reproduction? Do we create a new energy before unknown to the universe? Is that energy consciousness?

What is left of that energy when the universe implodes? Can the universe have a ghost of itself? The conglomeration of all consciousness waiting to be reborn when the universe reexpands? Is that where Deja-vu comes from?
Have we all been here before? Many times?

Anyway. I can ramble on about this stuff forever. Of course, I don't expect anyone to take it too serious.

Well all this philosophical stuff is really getting me going. I'm at work, pondering the frailty and fleeting nature of life, what it means to actually be alive, and how the seemingly random atoms and molecules in our body came together to form something that can ponder its own existence.

Organic, non-sentient molecules joined in a way that creates a sentient being, and those collections of molecules haven't been able to figure out how they came into existence yet.
