Final Fantasy XV Update Coming April 27th, Adds New PS4 Pro Mode, Timed Quests, New Songs & More

Square Enix is releasing a new free update for Final Fantasy XV next week that adds a few features for players that should address some stability issues as well as add some longevity. Here’s a list of what’s changing:

  • New image quality mode added to the PlayStation 4 Pro resolution options. With this mode, you can play the game with a stable frame rate.
  • Subtitles, as well as some menu screen text sizes can be magnified.
  • Timed Quests will start up again, and a new ranking feature has been added. High end weapons can be rewarded for them.
  • New car stickers added for Regalia customization.
  • New songs added to the music player.

This should address the issues introduced with the PS4 Pro support, which for some players made the game perform poorly. The restart of the timed quests with rewards and new music and customization options should give dedicated daily players a reason to keep checking in regularly. Keep checking back with us for more!

  1. Hell yeah. I haven’t even touched this game yet. Its in my backlog along with 7 or 8 other big titles (Phantom Pain, Fallout 4, Skyrim, Dishonored 2, DS3 DLC, Witcher 3 DLC, XCOM 2, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, and Hitman. Haven’t made a 2017 purchase yet. This is how you game. ANd I game atleast 5 hours a day or every other day when I feel well. Take your time People. Stop rushing through every game and then pre-odering and picking up your new game and maybe devs/pubs will stop releasing jizz covered crap with triple AAA gold plating.

Been taking my time with Skyrim modded and my second Witcher 3 playthru. My sweet, sweet time. I pre order nothing. I want for no new games although I expect there will be plenty of COMPLETE new games by the time I finish the ones I already own.
