ESO Horns of the Reach Trophy Guide

Zenimax’s Elder Scrolls Online DLC Horns of the Reach is live on PS4 and Xbox One. This Trophy and Achievement Guide gives you tips on how to get the new trophies added with this content, which can be rather challenging!

  • Time to 100%: 15+ hours (Skill dependent, counting some waiting time, dungeon mechanics learning, etc. Non-endgame players could be looking at 50)
  • Difficulty: 9/10 (If you aren’t endgame-ready and don’t have a reliable group, this is gonna be almost impossible)
  • Playthroughs required: 2 complete runs of each new dungeon added to Craglorn.

ESO Horns of the Reach Trophy & Achievement Guide

The base patch to the game made some significant changes to gameplay. You can find details on the changes done by the Horns of The Reach DLC here.

Bloodroot Forge Vanquisher

Defeat Mathgamain, Caillaoife, Stoneheart, Galchobhar, Gherig Bullblood and his attendants, and the Earthgore Amalgam in Bloodroot Forge.

For this trophy, you have to complete a full run of Bloodroot Forge, which can be done in normal mode. The dungeon isn’t very challenging on normal, but you should check out the mechanics in advance to save yourself some grief.

Cooling Your Heels

Defeat Mathgamain, Caillaoife, Stoneheart, Galchobhar, Gherig Bullblood and his attendants, and the Earthgore Amalgam without taking damage from the Molten Nirncrux flowing through Veteran Bloodroot Forge.

This can be a difficult trophy because you cannot at anytime step in the hot magma flowing through the level. The trophy is individual, and the most likely place you’ll have this problem is the boss Galchobhar as he is surrounded by molten nirncrux.

Deck Diver

Defeat every boss without ever personally being struck by siege weapon fire in Veteran Falkreath Hold, including siege engines commanded by Morrigh Bullblood.

This is thankfully a personal trophy. To achieve it, be extra aware of your surroundings and ensure you keep an eye on the area under your feet. The boss siege counts, so you must try to keep this going through the battle – on veteran mode!

Magma Masher

Use Galchobhar’s Mantle Breaker attack to dissipate a Lava Ball fired by a Fire Shalk while in Veteran Bloodroot Forge.

When the Fire Shalk “Targets you with Laval Ball” during the Galchobhar fight, a note appears on your screen and a red circle begins to follow you. If it catches you, it will stun and kill you. You can earn this trophy by kiting the lava ball through the boss as he does his heave attack.

Horns of the Reach Delver

Complete Veteran Falkreath Hold and Veteran Bloodroot Forge.

Completing both these dungeons in Veteran mode is difficult. Challenge mode is not required for the trophy – but you will need a good party with voice communications and endgame gear. The zones are overflowing with fire effects that are notorious for making the game lag, so bring along a lot of patience. Click on the links below to find detailed dungeon strategies.

Bloodroot Forge

  • Bring: Soul Gems, Repair Kits, Food, Tri-Pots, Unstoppable
  • Party Makeup: You need 2 dps, 1 healer and 1 tank. The DPS should be preferably ranged. AOE dps isn’t very needed after the first boss.
  • Recommended Ultimates: Rapid Fire, War Horn, Elemental Rage

Falkreath Hold

  • Bring: Soul Gems, Repair Kits, Food, Tri-Pots, Unstoppable
  • Party Makeup: You need 2 dps, 1 healer and 1 tank. The DPS should be prefearably ranged. AOE dps is necessary for the last fight – the execute phase is challenging!
  • Recommended Ultimates: Eye of the Storm, War Horn, Meteor
