Bloodborne Update: Now Launching March 24th

Bloodborne on PS4

Dear community,

It is with regret that I must inform you that Bloodborne will be slightly delayed.

While development continues unabated, we would like our team to deliver the best possible final experience. We were gratified by the feedback and data we received from those who participated in our limited Alpha test. The extra production time will also allow us to better integrate these learnings.

Bloodborne is now set to launch in North America exclusively on PS4 on March 24th, 2015.

Please look forward to some exciting Bloodborne news in early December. Thank you very much for your continued support.

  1. As much as this makes me slightly unhappy, because well i was planning on buying my PS4 and Bloodborne on the original date, i don’t mind waiting nearly two more months. Whatever it takes to have the perfect game. I don’t want to play a mere souls like title, i want to play Dark Souls + Demon Souls + Dark Souls 2 all combined into the most perfect Souls like game ever.

Before anyone says Dark Souls 2 had no good things about it, you cray.

  2. Let there be as much time as needed to perfect.

I still need time to get my hands on a PS4, anyway. ;)

  3. They mention that learning from the Alpha is significant in the reasoning. Since the Alpha was pretty much them trying to convince us to summon each other the whole time, my money is on network problems. Not that any of the Souls games ever had network problems :P

  4. not much of an explanation other than the time is needed, but I don’t mind. I wouldn’t even mind it being more delayed if it meant more content for dark souls 2. Even smaller content like challenge bosses with nothing other than the boss and a area to fight in.

  6. Let them do the best they can do to deliver us a gem!

All the more time to play dragon age !

  7. While I am waiting the game, I still have to buy PS4 so I’m fine with it. As others said, maybe this delay is better than ruining our hopes.

True that, I just got the Halo Master Chief edition yesterday, and it’s beyond a train wreck. Possibly the worst launch a major title has ever had in the history of video games. The install took a good 2-3 hours with the physical disk, and it took and still takes 20+ to an hour to find a match even a day after launch, then game starts you off with uneven teammates, like a 4 vs 3 or 3 vs 2, then people quit/or lag out within minutes into the game, making the long wait wasted.

So I do rather have a more polished game at launch then a rushed one.

  9. I already expected something like this. 5 february sounded just, too soon? Well as long the game is good I’m ok with that haha

  10. Delays are much better than a train-wreck launch.

Hopefully this translates into a stable 30 fps , although that may just be wishful thinking considering it’s From Software.

  11. As long as the game can get more and more polished im fine with it

I dont have a ps3 nor a ps4 at the moment so im gonna have to wait.
