Age of Empires IV, Age of Empires Definitive Edition Announced at Gamescom 2017

Strategy Game classic Age of Empires is not only getting a “Definitive Edition“, but a whole new installment titled Age of Empires IV. The developers released a trailer during Gamescom 2017, and are working with the team from Relic Entertainment to “make this the best Age game yet”

Releasing in October 19th, 2017 just in time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original game! Some updated features include the following for Age II and III:

  • Attack Move
  • 250-300 population cap​
  • Rally Points Basic
  • Rally Points Contextual (Intelligent Villagers)
  • Grid default key layout ​
  • Select Idle Military
  • Select Idle Villagers
  • Unit queueing
  • Right-click mouse scroll
  • And MORE!

Age of Empires IV Info

Not much has been revealed about the upcoming 4th installment in the Age of Empires series besides the trailer that features no gameplay. However, we can see these civilizations are likely to be presets:

  • Romans
  • Native Americans
  • British
  • Japanese
